O grupo The Style Council celebra os 40 anos de Café Bleu com uma reedição de luxo que revisita o álbum de estreia, originalmente lançado em 1984, e reafirma o impacto duradouro de Paul Weller e Mick Talbot no panorama musical britânico. 

A nova edição, prevista para 30 de janeiro de 2026 pela Universal Music Recordings, estará disponível em dois formatos: uma caixa de seis CDs e uma versão tripla em vinil, ambas concebidas para oferecer uma experiência completa do álbum e do universo criativo da banda.

O lançamento inclui uma riqueza de material inédito, desde demos e versões alternativas de temas clássicos até canções nunca antes publicadas, assim como gravações ao vivo e sessões realizadas para a BBC. 

O primeiro CD apresenta também uma edição alargada de Introducing… The Style Council, até agora apenas disponível como importação, acrescentando contexto à evolução inicial do grupo. 

As notas de capa foram escritas por Gary Crowley, veterano radialista britânico e grande defensor da obra, oferecendo insights sobre a influência e o legado de Café Bleu ao longo das últimas quatro décadas.

Musicalmente, o álbum é uma mistura sofisticada de jazz, soul e pop, combinando grooves urbanos com arranjos elegantes e letras conscientes, um reflexo da abordagem inovadora da banda à música popular da época. 

Esta reedição não só permite redescobrir clássicos como “Long Hot Summer” ou “My Ever Changing Moods”, mas também mergulhar em lados menos conhecidos que demonstram a versatilidade e sofisticação de Weller e Talbot.
